Winter months are a favorite because 10 min. from famous Sugarloaf USA ...  Also located 16 miles from Rangeley Lakes Region.  Caution on moose alley !  Cottage house is conveniently located 2 miles to Bigelow Preserve along flagstaff lake.  You can swim, dock your boat, rent a  kayak and rarely see other people.  Bikes available to ride into the preserve and look for eagles nest on route.  Enjoy small town life! Relax in the beautiful garden!  [ ... gather yourself a fresh bouquet in season - lilacs, peonies, lilies or roses...or pick a weed or two. ]
